Looks: Standing at 6 ft 2in Asuma is not the most muscular person but is in no way thin. His black hair is mixed with threads of green that match the forest of his eyes. His hair is short in length and is always in dissarray.
His face is shadowed by a hood he wears at most times, typically only removing it as a sign of respect.


Personality: Asuma is a mellow guy. He perfers to avoid combat due to the fact he is a former adrenline addict and wants to stay "sober". He smokes often while staring out into space. He is often found reading various books, more often than not the book is a novel of some sort but he has also been seen reading manga. He has also been noted to have a facination with vampires and has done quiet a bit of research on the bounts. Asuma also has a very strong sense of justice that he will die to defend.



History/Background Story: Asuma himself does not rember most of his life before his entrance to the academy. He vaguely rembers his middle class life in the rukkon(sp?) district where he sold books. He learned of his potential from a shinigami that was a regular at his store. When said shinigami died in conflict with hollows Asuma decided that he would take his place, and grow stronger through knowledge not brute force. His years in the academy were spent with two good friends who shared his intrest in the search for knowledge. During those years Asuma became fascinated by Human literature on vampires and shingami refernces on Bounts. After graduating Asuma disappeared for several months. Rumors are he went to go learn more of the bounts. Now he has returned to Soul Society with control of his Shikai and true to his nature as been seen researching Bankai, hoping to achieve it through knowledge
